Preparation of Role Play Model

 As part of school internship programme, A model of teaching based on Role Play model is mandatory.

So today was dedicated to the preparation of the Role Play for the model.

After a long time of thought process, I've decided the topic. The session from the Fibres and Plastic was choosen for the role play. The role play is like this...

Anchor: Today we are going to witness the life of a person as  two kinds. Now in the stage, I’m going to introduce one important person and two of his different versions. Are you ready to welcome them into the stage. Anchor: Dear guest, come  forward and could you please introduce yourself here to mu audience.   Plastic: oh.., Sure..Hey my friends, I’m sure that I need no introduction. Because I am  very famous person and evert one knows me very well. Anyways I’m mr. plastic and you guys see in my different versions in your daily life. You guys can’t even imagine a day with out me. I’m so much important you.   PVC: Oh yes… Really..We are so important..   Plastic: Stop It. I know how to introduce my self. You are one of my form. Just shut up..   PVC : Ok bose. (Bakelite laughs silently looking at PVC)   Plastic: stop your laugh Bakelite. You are also from me.   Bakelite: But I’m hard not like him.   Plastic: Shut your mouth until I asked to open.   Bakellite: Yeah, I’ll wait for that moment.   Plastic: Guys let me tell about me more. I’m very important polymer, made up by the combination of large number of monomers.  I have diverse properties and many uses. No other materials has the property and use like me.   (Plastic pointing towards Bakelite and PVC)   Plastic: These guys are just my two version…like my sons..they do different purpose.. (Pointing Towards PVC)   Plastic: He is a soft guy on time of preparation and also on heating he is so flexible. Hey PVC, Tell about you.   PVC: hey guys, My name is Poly Vinyl Chloride and peoples call me PVC. As bose said, Im one of his forms which is soft and flexible on Heating. My Monomer is Vinyl Chloride. I am Linear polymer and because of that I am flexible on heating.   Plastic: hey. Bakellite Introduce yourself   Bakelite: I am also Bose one version. But I’m hard. Not like him(pointing towards PVC). My Monomer is Phenol and formaldehyde. You can see me in your iron box handle. Cross linked polymer. I have links between my linear chain which gives strength to mine.   PVC: with out me, you can even drink water or pumps. You can see me in your house and school plumbing pipes..   Plastic: Yes.., PVC is softened on heating and hardened on cooling. This can be repeated many times. He is flexible and ca acquire any shapes.   PVC: yes.. thus I can fit to any pipes and any shapes.   Plastic: Due to this property he is called thermoplastic.   Bakelitte: But I’m  not like him. On manufacturing under heat I’m soft and get permanently hardened on cooling. Thus I’m not flexible and reshaped.   Plastic: exactly. Since he is called thermosetting plastic.   Plastic: these two kids are from two bug families. PVC from thermoplastic family and Bakelite from thermosetting plastic family.   Plastic pointing towards PVC   Plastic: hey PVC, Share your other family members name   PVC: Polyester, polypropylene, Teflon are from family.   Plastic: Bakellite, tell your family members   Bakelite: Polymides, duroplast, Melanin Formaldehyde resins etc are from  my family.   PVC: I’m flexible and not strong like him..   Bakellite: Don’t be sad brother.. you are also strong. But on heating you just be flexible. So a lot of people use your family members than ours..   Plastic: my sons..both of you are important nowadays..world can even think about a day with out us. So know your strength and weakness and trust you..   (plastic, Bakelite and PVC hugs)   Anchor: Very good friends. Let give them a big round of applause for our plastic, Bakelite and PVC.   Let us recollect every thing 1.       Plastic in one of the important polymer with lot of domestic and industrial uses. 2.       Plastic is a polymer made of large number of monmers. 3.       Plastic are of two forms, Thermoplastic and thermosetting plastic. 4.       Thermoplastic get softening on heating and hardened on cooling. 5.       They are linear polymers. 6.       PVC, Polyester are examples 7.       Thermosetting plastic remains soft when heated during manufacture and hardened permanently due to physical and chemical change while heating 8.       Bakellite is an example 9.       It is a crosslinked polymer.
